Meatball Kebabs with Tomato Sauce

A delicious recipe that can be cooked on the barbecue, tuck into meatball kebabs and tomato sauce in our recipe from chef Jon.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 400 g of jar of tomato pasta sauce
- 90 g of onion, finely chopped
- 575 g of beef mince
- 3 g of oregano/dried herbs, (optional)
- 4 cheese slices, (optional)
- 4 sub rolls/hot dog buns/or pitta breads
Method
Step 1
Mix the finely chopped onion with the mince, and season with salt and lots of pepper.Step 2
Shape into meatballs and place on a skewer .Step 3
Grill the meatballs and cook each side for 5-6 minutes while heating up the tomato sauce.Step 4
Add the meatballs on skewers to the tomato sauce and cook until the tomato sauce has reduced and thickened.Step 5
Serve in pittas or in a baguette or subway roll great with sliced cheese, with slaw or salad on the side.
