Nothing says summer like fresh British strawberries. Treat yourself to strawberries and cream with a zingy citrus twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp of caster sugar
  • 1 whole of orange, juice and rind only
  • 175 ml of double cream
  • 400 g of strawberries, green tops removed and halved

Method

  1. Step 1

    Place the strawberries in a bowl and sprinkle with the sugar. Toss gently and leave to one side.

  2. Step 2

    Whisk together the orange juice, rind and double cream, until soft peaks are formed.

  3. Step 3

    Serve the strawberries with a big dollop of citrus cream and a sprig of mint.
