We know what you're thinking, "Chorizo and watermelon, together?". Well don't knock 'em until you've tried 'em. They're the perfect canapés for your next event.

Ingredients

  • 40 mint leaves
  • 200 g of chorizo
  • 0.5 watermelon

Method

  1. Step 1

    Slice the watermelon and remove the flesh and seeds.
  2. Step 2

    Divide the watermelon into approximately 40 bite sized cubes.
  3. Step 3

    Cut the chorizo into slices, approximately ½ cm thick. You should get about 40 slices.
  4. Step 4

    Heat a griddle pan or a frying pan until smoking hot. Pan fry the chorizo slices in batches for 1 minute on each side.
  5. Step 5

    To assemble your canapés, thread a mint leaf onto a cocktail stick, followed by a slice of chorizo and lastly a watermelon cube.
  6. Step 6

    Place on a serving platter to enjoy.
