Market Street Beef Roasting Joint Typically: 1.7kg
Chewy
Arrived swimming in blood in the plastic packaging, for interest I weighed it before and after draining and the blood weighed 255g. It isn't tied with string as per the image but in a net bag. I cooked as per instructions but it was tough and chewy the kids wouldn't eat it. Minced it up for a cottage pie and that was nice - about all this joint is useful for. Won't buy it again.

Morrisons Digestives 400g
no swop
Having had success finding a cheaper alternative to my baked beans I thought I'd try and save on my digestive biscuits. Unfortunately, these are very sweet, dry and crumbly, will have to stick to the branded ones. I think they would be ok to use in cooking for a cheesecake base or similar though.

Branston Baked Beans 4 x 410g
Got my husband to change his brand
My husband has always insisted on a particular leading brand of baked beans, these have become increasingly expensive lately. I bought one tin of Branston beans and served them without telling him they weren't his usual, after we'd eaten I asked him if the beans were ok and he said great, so I told him they were Branston Beans and around 60p per kilo cheaper than his preferred brand. He agreed in fact he said there were more beans and less sauce and the sauce was tastier and thicker so I bought this 4 pack this week.

Krakus Zywiecka Polish Cooked And Dried Pork Sausage 286g
Dog recall game changer!
One of my dogs competes Agility but loves it soooo much he won't leave the ring at the end of a run, I tried allsorts of doggy treats but no catch. Then I bought this, my dog loves it even more than agility (just) and has been happy to leave the ring for a slice. Though it's not totally dry and leaves a residue in your pocket it's not wet, I've got to buy some more as one of my other dogs snaffled the remaining half off the counter and scoffed the lot.
