Lovely beef
I read the reviews after eating and couldn't believe this was the product I purchased. I always steam roast beef - cook in a covered container with water, which makes it tender and juicy. This piece was no different and made an excellent, dinner, sandwiches and a second meal later in the week. No complaints from me!
yin & yang
got this in flash sales, glad I didn't pay full price !! it was our mothers day roast and luckily i ended up cooking myself or else this could've gone pretty wrong... first of all, the absorbent pad was inside the net, just as well i do my roasts without nets as the kids would've likely cooked and carved it, yuck. secondly i significantly reduced the time suggested on the package, and once carved i poured the pan juices over it so it was less dry... if bought again, it would maybe get diced for slow cooking
Wouldn\x27t buy again
slow cooked low all day, just as we always do. Awful chewy and dry with huge ball of gristle in the middle, and I mean huge! Second one in a row we have had like this, always nice in the past but lesson learnt, wont have again
Dry and Flavourless.
Cooked on a slow cooker or roasted in the oven the results are the same. Dry meat tough as old boots.
Chewy
Arrived swimming in blood in the plastic packaging, for interest I weighed it before and after draining and the blood weighed 255g. It isn't tied with string as per the image but in a net bag. I cooked as per instructions but it was tough and chewy the kids wouldn't eat it. Minced it up for a cottage pie and that was nice - about all this joint is useful for. Won't buy it again.
Awful
Dont waste your money . Go any buy from the store and choose your own. Was expecting something that at least resembled the picture. Disappointed
