For those saying it's not real honey it is, fake honey will dissolve on contact with water, even cold water, that's how you test it, this honey does not dissolve without stirring so it may not be the best quality but it's the real deal. At this price point what are you expecting ? top quality honey is £50 upwards.
I bought this as a budget honey for cooking, but it tastes more like golden syrup than honey, I can only just detect the honey taste. I wlll not be buying it again, it is just a cost saving too far.
Having tried this honey twice now I can assure you it's taste is nothing like the real thing, this is more of a 'faux honey' which to me taste more like it's made from golden syrup which I hate. Either someone at the factory that filled the jar got the barrels mixed up or someone is trying to pass of golden syrup as honey.
So it's cheaper "honey", I wasn't expecting much and the brew was an experiment just to see. I used the same recipe as with more expensive honey. Results ? No honey flavour, seems watery - also lacking depth of colour after ferment.
Made from various flowers depending on season and country it is sourced from so every time I buy this it tastes different. Quality wise, I am never disappointed by this.
