Recipes
Perfect your techniques with one of our recipes below.
Use the handy tips along the way...
Scones
You will need just 225g McDougall's self raising flour, 50g butter, 25g caster sugar, 150ml milk and a pinch of salt, egg to glaze.
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/ Gas mark 6.
Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl. Then rub the butter into the mixture until you have a crumb like texture. Now mix in your sugar.
The flour's already been sifted for you!
Add the milk and mix to form a soft dough and turn out onto a floured surface, knead lightly.
Don't knead too much as this can create flat and heavy scones.
Roll out to just over 1 cm in thickness and cut into 6.5cm diameter rounds.
Arrange on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg or milk, bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
For an extra twist why not add 50g dried fruit when you add ad in your sugar!

Great
Good quality. A baking must-have. Highly recommended.
flour
A cupboaard staple. Self raising is a must for much baking. I like that it's been pre sifted so you don't have to get the sieve out. I hate washing up sieves - thery always rust!!
Best self\-raising flour
You can always count on McDougalls for quality. This self-raising flour is fine and light and produces the fluffiest of cakes, even the eggless variety. The flour is excellent, being pre sifted really does make a difference and it also saves time and washing up the cakes I made using this flour rose beautifully fully. Perfect for baking, cakes turned out fluffy and light.
Nice Pancake
I made a pancake and taste yummy. The flour is so fine that dissolve in the water beautifully without lumps.
Fine flour for pancakes
The flour is quite fine which is perfect for making cakes but is also great for pancake.
