A classic soup, have a go at making your own tomato soup with this recipe from chef Richard.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 6 ripe tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 vegetable stock cube
- 2 tins plum tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 20 ml of olive oil
Method
Step 1
Cook the onion and garlic in the olive oil for 5 minutes.Step 2
Add the chopped fresh tomatoes and continue to cook for a further 3 minutes.Step 3
Add 350ml water, stock cube and tinned tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.Step 4
Blend with a hand blender or food processor until smooth.Step 5
Season to taste.Step 6
Serve with crusty bread.
