A deliciously hot, sweet and gooey dessert. The vanilla ice cream cuts through the rich toffee sauce giving a delightful contrast of flavours.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 80 g of flaked almonds
- 4 tbsp of runny honey
- 4 medium of bananas, halved lengthways. Leave skin and stem on.
- 80 g of caster sugar
- 1 vanilla ice cream
- 1 toffee sauce
Method
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 180°C (160° Fan oven).Step 2
To make the candied almonds, place the almonds and honey on a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper and drizzle with honey. Bake until bubbling or golden. Allow to cool, break into pieces and set aside.Step 3
Place the bananas on a metal tray and sprinkle with the caster sugar. Place under a hot grill and cook until caramelised.Step 4
Divide the bananas between plates and top with scoops of vanilla ice-cream. Drizzle with the toffee sauce and sprinkle with the candied almonds to serve.
