This tangy Tamarind Chutney is easy to make and it's the perfect accompaniment to any Indian inspired meal. Enjoy with samosas, pakoras, or your favourite curry.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 130g jar tamarind paste
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 1.5 cups of water
Method
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine the tamarind paste, sugar, salt, chilli powder and 1.5 cups of water to the saucepan.Step 2
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.Step 3
Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the mixture has thickened to your desired consistency.Step 4
Remove the pan from the heat and allow the chutney to cool completely before serving.
