Smoked Haddock & Cheat's Chips

A straightforward fish supper that's speedy to make and cheap to prepare. Enjoy this smoked haddock in a creamy, satisfying sauce with long-stemmed broccoli and easy chips.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 140 g of long-stem broccoli
- 100 ml of double cream
- 300 g of maris piper potatoes
- 2 smoked haddock fillets, boneless and skinless
Method
Step 1
Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6 and heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add the potatoes and fry for 10 mins until they begin to crisp. Transfer to a baking tray and bake in the oven while you cook the haddock.Step 2
Put the haddock, broccoli and cream in the frying pan you used for the potatoes and bring to a simmer. Cover with a lid and cook for 8-10 mins, basting the haddock every now and again until it is cooked and the broccoli is tender. Serve with the chips.
