Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of caster sugar
  • 1 dusting of icing sugar
  • 0.5 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp of cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 ml of semi skimmed milk
  • 2 tbsp of hazelnut chocolate spread
  • 1 scoop of cranberry sauce
  • 1 knob of unsalted butter

Method

  1. Step 1

    Beat together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Spread 2 slices of panettone with the hazelnut chocolate spread and sandwich with the other 2 slices. Dip both sides of the sandwiches into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak in well.
  2. Step 2

    Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan, add the sandwiches and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and heated through. Dust with icing sugar and serve with cranberry sauce.
