This grilled halloumi sandwich is packed with veggies. Using Hovis® Granary®, this sandwich is great for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 romaine lettuce, sliced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 250 g of halloumi, thickly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of light mayonnaise
  • 4 slices of hovisⓡ granary® small loaf

Method

  1. Step 1

    Heat a griddle pan until very hot and add the halloumi slices, cooking for one minute on each side before turning, making sure they have dark charred lines.
  2. Step 2

    To build the sandwich, spread each slice of bread with mayonnaise, and then top with halloumi followed by the sliced tomato, lettuce, onion and pepper.
  3. Step 3

    Place the final slice of bread on top and cut in half. Serve immediately.
