Ingredients
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 romaine lettuce, sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 250 g of halloumi, thickly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of light mayonnaise
- 4 slices of hovisⓡ granary® small loaf
Method
Step 1
Heat a griddle pan until very hot and add the halloumi slices, cooking for one minute on each side before turning, making sure they have dark charred lines.Step 2
To build the sandwich, spread each slice of bread with mayonnaise, and then top with halloumi followed by the sliced tomato, lettuce, onion and pepper.Step 3
Place the final slice of bread on top and cut in half. Serve immediately.
