Ingredients

  • 800g diced stewing beef
  • 2tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 2 tablespoons paprika (not smoked)
  • Salt to season
  • Pepper to season
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 250ml water
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 15g chopped flat parsley
  • 100ml sour cream
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 pack of ready-rolled shortcrust pastry
  • 1 black gel pastry writing pen

Method

  1. Step 1

    In a casserole dish or heavy saucepan heat the oil.
  2. Step 2

    Season the beef with salt, paprika and milled pepper.
  3. Step 3

    Fry off the beef in small batches.
  4. Step 4

    When all the beef is browned pour over the tomatoes, water, beef stock cube, and garlic, cover with a lid and cook in a preheated oven at 150°C until the beef is almost tender.
  5. Step 5

    Cut out ghouls from your pastry sheet and place on a non-stick baking tray.
  6. Step 6

    Add the eyes and mouth with your black gel pen.
  7. Step 7

    Sauté all the potatoes and peppers in a heavy frying pan little oil until lightly browned.
  8. Step 8

    Add the vegetables to the casserole dish and cook until the beef and potatoes are cooked.
  9. Step 9

    Bake your pastry ghouls in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown.
  10. Step 10

    Stir in the sour cream, add your pastry ghouls, and serve.
