Need a quick Easter dessert? Make these marvellous mini chocolate Easter nests. They are perfect little treats for home-baking with your little ones.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of plain chocolate
  • 120 g of candy-coated chocolate mini eggs
  • 4 tbsp of golden syrup
  • 50 g of butter
  • 8 shredded wheat biscuits

Method

  1. Step 1

    Using clean hands, break up the shredded wheat into a large bowl.
  2. Step 2

    Break the chocolate into squares and place in a heatproof bowl with the syrup and butter.
  3. Step 3

    Melt over a pan of simmering water until smooth and glossy. Pour over the shredded wheat and mix well so they are coated in the chocolate mixture.
  4. Step 4

    Line a baking sheet with non-stick baking parchment. Shape spoonfuls of the mixture into balls. Place on the tray and make a dip in the middle of each using your thumb. Chill until firm.
  5. Step 5

    Place into a cake case and add mini eggs into the centre of each.
