Warming and delicious, you could use up leftover ham in this tasty recipe for a pasta bake.

Ingredients

  • 30 g of unsalted butter
  • 450 g of cooked pasta
  • 150 g of ham, diced
  • 150 g of grated cheese
  • 600 g of semi-skimmed milk
  • 30 g of plain flour

Method

  1. Step 1

    Firsty, make the sauce for the dish, to do this, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour. Stir together for 2 minutes.
  2. Step 2

    Gradually add the milk, bringing the sauce to a smooth consistency with each addition.
  3. Step 3

    When all the milk is added, simmer the sauce for 2 minutes.
  4. Step 4

    Add the ham and cheese to the sauce and stir until the sauce is smooth.
  5. Step 5

    Put the cooked pasta into a mixing bowl and pour in the sauce.
  6. Step 6

    Combine well and transfer to an ovenproof dish.
  7. Step 7

    Bake at 175 degrees until bubbling and golden brown.
