Butter Steamed Carrots with Toasted Cumin

Ingredients

  • 40 g of butter
  • 1 tsp of cumin seeds
  • 2 kg of carrots
  • 1 orange

Method

  1. Step 1

    Heat the butter in a large lidded pan. Add the cumin and cook for 1 minute. Add the carrots, orange zest and juice and season.
  2. Step 2

    Replace the lid and cook on a low heat for 25 minutes shaking the pan regularly. Remove the lid, increase the heat and cook until the liquid forms a syrupy glaze - be careful the carrots don't burn.
