Beet the Blues with this beetroot, carrot and apple smoothie.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 5 cm of fresh ginger
- 3 carrots
- 1 beetroot
- 0.5 cup of apple juice
Method
Step 1
Wash and peel the carrots, beetroot and apple then chop into similar size pieces. Remove the skin from the ginger.Step 2
Put all ingredients in a blender or mixer and blend until smooth, add ½ a cup of apple juice if needed to get a smooth blend.Step 3
Get a large bowl and use a fine mesh strainer to pour out the juice though the strainer. Use a spatula to press the pulp down and squeeze the juice out.Step 4
As an option, save and add the pulp for a thicker mix. Pour your juice into a glass.Step 5
Drink and enjoy.
