Bacon Cheeseburger and Homemade Slaw

Ingredients

  • 50 g of cucumber
  • 1 tomato, 85g
  • 80 g of little gem lettuce
  • 4 cheese slices
  • 1 carrot, grated (about 90g)
  • 190 g of cabbage, (Shredded as finely as possible)
  • 4 beef burgers
  • 2 bacon rashers
  • 150 g of mayonnaise/yoghurt
  • 1 onion, (about 80g)
  • 1 apple, grated (about 80g)
  • 1 budweiser lager beer bottles

Method

  1. Step 1

    Finely slice the cabbage and onion, then grate the apple and the carrots and mix with the mayonnaise (or natural yoghurt).
  2. Step 2

    For a bit extra pep, add a tablespoon of vinegar and/or a teaspoon of mustard.
  3. Step 3

    Cook the burgers to packet instructions
  4. Step 4

    If you want to serve with chips, microwave 2-3 potatoes for 6-7 minutes and cut into chips, spray or brush on a little oil and season with a little salt.
  5. Step 5

    Bake the chips in the oven for 20 minutes till golden brown and crispy.
  6. Step 6

    This dish goes well with Budweiser Lager.
