Air Fryer Crispy Bacon

Enjoy the ultimate crispy bacon with this no-fuss air fryer method. It is the quickest way to get perfectly even, golden rashers for your morning roll or to crumble over a salad, with much less mess than the frying pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Morrisons British unsmoked or smoked back bacon (6-8 rashers)
  • A little twist of black pepper (if you fancy it)

Method

  • Step 1

    Start by laying your bacon rashers in the air fryer basket. It is fine if they overlap just a tiny bit as they will shrink a little as they cook, but try to keep them in a single layer if you can so the air can get all the way around.
  • Step 2

    If you like a bit of a kick, now is the time to add a tiny sprinkle of black pepper over the top.
  • Step 3

    Slide the basket in and set your air fryer to 190°C. For standard rashers, 8 minutes usually does the trick for a lovely golden finish. If you like yours so crispy it practically snaps, you might want to give it another couple of minutes.
  • Step 4

    There is no need to flip them halfway through as the air circulates beautifully, but you can always have a quick peek to make sure they are browning just how you like them.
  • Step 5

    Once they are done, lift them out with some tongs and pop them onto a piece of kitchen paper to absorb excess fat. This helps them stay extra crunchy.
