Classic Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients
- 150 g of spaghetti
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 tsp of olive oil
- 390 g of chopped tomatoes
- 15 g of parsley
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 250g Mince Beef
Method
Step 1
Put a pan of seasoned water on to boil. Finely chop the onion, carrot, garlic and parsley.Step 2
Heat a large, non-stick frying pan with 3 teaspoons of oil, add the onions and carrots and cook for 4-5 minutes before adding the garlic and cooking for a further minute. Top tip - If you have any red wine to use, add a splash to the pan and a teaspoon of sugar to give the bolognese a kick.Step 3
Add the beef mince to the onions, garlic and carrots and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned.Step 4
Add the chopped tomatoes, bring the bolognese to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes before adding in the parsley (saving a little for garnish). Cook the spaghetti in boiling water to packet instructions.Step 5
Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain the pasta. Use tongs to portion the spaghetti into bowls, then spoon over the bolognese and finish with any remaining parsley
