Westland Peat Free Growbag

The Westland Growbag is a versatile planting bag which can be used anywhere from the windowsill to the greenhouse for growing flowers, fruit or vegetables. It is filled with a specially formulated compost which is rich in potash producing abundant flowers and quality fruit and vegetables.
The nutrients in the Growbag will last for approximately 4-5 weeks, sooner where plants are already growing vigorously. After this period it is recommended to feed regularly with Boost All-Purpose Liquid Plant Food or Big Tom Super Tomato Food.

The Westland Growbag is suitable for greenhouse, conservatory or patio use, inside or outside in a sheltered and sunny spot. Please remember to choose your Growbag position carefully as it is unwise to move crops once planted.

Preparation:
- Before use, shake the growbag until the compost has loosened to provide greater depth for planting.
- Cut along dotted line on top of the pack to form 3 plant openings.
- Add approximately 7 litres (1.5 gallons) of water.
- Check texture.
- Plant in central area of growbag, firming compost well around the new plant.

Watering:
- Keep moist, never allow to dry out.
- If necessary cut drainage slits in the sides of the bag to allow excess water to escape. This will help keep the compost fresh.
- Water frequently in hot weather.
- When first truss has set start feeding your plants with boost all-purpose liquid plant food or big tom super tomato food.
- Follow feeding instructions carefully. Do not overfeed.

Training
- Position canes against each plant being careful not to damage the plant roots.
- Train main stem up the cane, securing with garden string.
- When growing tomato plants, remove all side shoots from between the leaf and the main stem.
- When growing tomato plants, help pollinate flowers by regularly shaking or spraying the flower truss.

Handy Gardening Tips:
- Store in a frost free place away from weed killers and other garden chemicals.
- Rework compost between hands before use to reconstitute.
