Founded in Reims in 1772, the House of Veuve Clicquot remains true to its motto: “Only one quality, the finest.” In 1805, Madame Clicquot took the reins of the House and became one of the first businesswomen of modern times, acquiring the epithet “la grande dame of Champagne.” Her visionary spirit and innate sense of French “art de vivre” live on today. Her iconic cuvée, Brut Carte Jaune, is synonymous with more than two centuries of know-how and an exceptional heritage. The colour of the sun, it symbolizes the values of audacity and optimism that the House has carried for 250 years.

Veuve Clicquot's Yellow Label Brut is the maison's signature champagne and the one against which all others are judged - balancing strength, aromatic intensity and freshness. Created for a British market that desired “dry” wines, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label was trademarked in 1877 and has been used to toast events big and small ever since.

This signature champagne gains its structure from the predominant presence of pinot noir (50-55%), roundness from meunier (15-20%) and elegance from chardonnay (28-33%). The grapes are sourced from 50 to 60 crus, and the blend comprises 25-45% reserve wines that have been aged up to 15 years.
