Siglo is the most emblematic brand of appellation Rioja, it is elaborated in Bodegas Manzanos, a winery with more than 130 years of winemaking tradition. Siglo is a symbol of Rioja, is one of the few brands that still preserves the traditional burgundy bottle.

On the border between Rioja and Navarra, Victor Manzanos carries on the work of the four generations before him. With over 250ha of owned vineyards at his disposal, including some of the oldest vines in Rioja. This range of wines is a modern take on the traditional landscape of Rioja, championing the native grape varieties of Tempranillo, Viura and Garnacha.

The grapes are grown in the Rioja Alta, benefit from an Atlantic climate that brings freshness and acidity to the Tempranillo and Garnacha varieties. These vineyards are planted on trellises on clay-limestone soils. Located between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, they experience warm days and cool nights, which helps preserve aromas and flavours, resulting in wines of good freshness, elegance and complexity.

Harvesting in the Rioja Alta takes place between September and October, taking advantage of the morning freshness to preserve the aromas and ensure that
the grapes reach the winery in optimum condition. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, using a short maceration of between 2 and 4 hours to
delicately extract the fruit and maintain the freshness and elegance of the aromas.
