But then, our potato cakes are so versatile it’s hard to resist them at any time. Try them topped with baked beans and cheddar for tea, or with smoked salmon and poached egg or sour cream and chives for a little lunchtime luxury, or just conjure up a simple treat by rubbing them with garlic, grilling them and drizzling with olive oil!
