1 Mix entire packet of gulab jamun mix with 180-200ml water and make a smooth dough.
2 Apply ghee/oil on palm and make round shape ball without any cracks. Fry on medium flame till golden brown.
3 Drain excess oil and soak the gulab jamuns in medium hot sugar syrup for 20 minutes.

The Sugar Syrup:
Dissolve one volume of sugar in one volume of water and boil for 5 minutes. Cardamom, Saffron essence may be added to the syrup if desired.
Note: at no time should the oil or ghee be heated to give fumes. Follow the recipe carefully to get the best results and avoid hard lumps.
