Product Information

A modern and appealing wine made from two very aromatic varieties, Sauvignon blanc and Verdejo. The aroma is intense and complex, a perfect unión of citrus, floral, fruit and herbal notes. Elegant and fine, it develops marvelously on the palate flavors of tropical fruit and citrus. Very expressive with a refreshing finish, dry and persistent. A wine to drink with pleasant company.

History

Located at the crossroads of Medina de Campo, Tordesillas and Olmedo, it is Serrada, a beautiful Spanish town where you will find “Bodega Alberto” a century-old winery.

The origin of the winery, that is located in an old farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century. There is a written record of its existence in the “granting privilege document” of Villa de Serrada by King Charles II;

Vinification Details

Planted in 1899, survived phylloxera. Many Verdejo Grape(s) are grown as bushes, which require a great deal of manual labour, but this shape protects the grapes both from the wind and from excess sunshine. Persistent breeze, cold winter (temperatures plummeting to -8°C for weeks at a time).
In summer, daytime temperatures are warm but not too warm, and at night the temperature drops dramatically, preserving those fresh, clean flavours in the grapes
