Taking its name from the word manfredo - Italian for warrior - this long ribbon-shaped pasta originates from the Abruzzo region. The fluted edges, paired with its characteristic rough texture, scoop up thick, creamy sauces.

Slowly dried for extra flavour and then pressed through a bronze mould - known as a 'die' - resulting in pasta with a distinctive rough texture, that holds rich pasta sauces beautifully when cooked.

Place pasta in a large pan of boiling, slightly salted water. Stir and return to the boil. Cook for 10 mins for 'al dente' or 12 mins for a softer texture. Drain well and serve immediately in your favourite recipe.
