Bright and vivid in the glass, this Cabernet Franc reflects the limestone-rich tuffeau soils of Saumur with lifted aromatics of redcurrant, wild strawberry and violet. The vineyards, looking out across the River Loire, sit on well drained chalk and clay that allow the vines to root deeply, bringing a fine mineral thread and supple texture. This is a modern Saumur that speaks clearly of it's origins, balancing crunchy red fruit with a finessed, savoury edge.

A family-run estate for over 50 years. Under the guidance of Alban Foucher, an artisan winemaker, the Domaine continues a long-standing tradition of quality and respect for the land. Having studied both viticulture and business, Alban gained international winemaking experience in Asia, North America, and Australia before returning home in 2005 to take up the family legacy. His return marked a renewed commitment to excellence, sustainability, and authenticity.

This Cabernet Franc was machine-harvested in the first week of October from 40-year-old vines. Fermentation took place with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at an average temperature of 25°C over five days. A natural malolactic fermentation followed, softening the wine's structure and enhancing its roundness. Maturation was carried out for six months in stainless steel tanks, preserving the fruit's purity and vibrancy.
