The Best 18 Month Matured Christmas Pudding is made with plump vine fruits, pecan nuts, walnuts and almonds, laced with cider, rum and sherry, then traditionally steamed to create a deliciously moist texture before being matured for 18 months with Cognac.

Remove carton. Do not remove film lid. Use a saucepan with a trivet or heat resistant saucer in the base to avoid direct heat. Put the basin on the trivet/saucer. Fill the pan with water to half the height of the basin and cover. Bring to the boil and simmer. Ensure water does not enter the pudding. Do not allow the pan to boil dry. To release pudding press base of bowl before lifting.; Microwave - From Ambient. 900w 40 sec, 800w 50 sec
Remove carton and pierce film lid. Place on a non-metallic plate. Heat on full power. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving. To release pudding press base of bowl before lifting.; Steam - From Ambient. 30 min
