How to Make a Great White Loaf
Cooking appliances vary.
These instructions are given as a guide.
1. Dissolve yeast in warm water, add olive oil.
2. Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl, add the yeast and oil mixture to the flour, mixing as you go.
3. Get your hands in the bowl and bring all the mixture together into a ball of dough.
4. Knead it for 10-15 minutes on a lightly floured surface until it's smooth and elastic.
5. Place it in a clean bowl and cover with a clean damp tea towel or cling film and leave it somewhere warm for about 60 minutes.
6. Set your oven to 200°C/400ºF/gas mark 6 and leave it to warm up.
7. Lightly mould the dough piece round and place onto a greased baking tray. Cover and allow to ferment for 30-45 minutes, until doubled in size. 8. Dust with flour and bake for 20-25 minutes, until your bread is golden.

15ml olive oil
8g salt

1. Set your oven to 200ºC,Gas Mark 6 and leave it to warm up.
