Directions for Use: 1. Detach the solar panel section at the top of the solar light by turning it anti-clockwise slightly. 2. Pull out the clear plastic isolator strip to connect the rechargeable battery - if there is residual pre-charge in the battery the LED will light when you cover the solar panel with our hand. Do not stare directly at the lit LED outside the light shade as it is very bright and discomfort could occur. 3. Re-attach the solar panel section. 4. Locate the solar light where it will receive plenty of unshaded sunlight during the day - to allow the battery to recharge - and away from night-time light such as from porches or street lamps - which may confuse the solar panel. The solar light should turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn.
The rechargeable battery should give many hours of service, but if it needs changing, unscrew the three screws of the battery compartment and replace the battery with an identical AA Ni-MH type, disposing of the old battery in appropriate recycling facilities. At the end of the product's life, remove the battery from the main unit and dispose in recycling facilities appropriate for each. Please keep these instructions for future reference.
