Preparation And Usage
How to prepare
Smooth and soft - Easy roll. A 500g pack of Morrisons Gold Marzipan will cover a 6" (15cm) square cake or a 7" (18cm) round cake rolled to a thickness of 1/4" (5mm). To decorate a whole fruit cake, mix a tablespoon of Morrisons Apricot Jam with boiling water in a small bowl. Brush the top and sides of the cake with apricot jam. Dust a work surface with icing sugar and knead the marzipan until it becomes soft. Using a rolling pin, roll out a circle large enough to fit the top and sides of the cake. Place on the cake and smooth down from the centre outwards and then roll down the sides. Repeat using Morrisons Ready to Roll Icing. Use a little boiled water to stick the icing to the cake and smooth down, from the centre outwards and then down the sides. Trim away any excess icing.
