Preparation And Usage
How to cook
Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat. Not suitable for cooking from frozen or microwave cooking. Ensure product is thoroughly cooked, juices run clear and that no pink colour remains.
180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 20 min per kilo + 80 min
Pre-heat your oven as shown.
Remove from outer packaging. Do not remove the drip pad.
Prior to cooking, remove neck and check body cavities and remove giblet pack. Place turkey in a roasting tin, rub the skin with oil or butter (optional). Place uncovered turkey in roasting tin in the centre of the oven. Cook for 20 minutes per kilo plus 80 minutes. After 1 hour, cover loosely with foil, ensuring foil is tucked under edges of roasting tin to keep moisture in. Return to the oven and continue cooking. Baste turkey occasionally during cooking process (typically 2-4 times depending on the size). After cooking time, cover with kitchen foil and allow to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes before carving. Always check that the product is cooked throughout, and juices run clear with no pink colour remaining.
