The vineyard is located on the Tertiary sedimentary soils of the Aquitaine basin and on the
old alluvial deposits of the Quaternary terraces of the Lot valley. The vines benefit from a
favorable exposure to sunshine and a limited water supply which promotes the ripening of
the berries and thus makes it possible to harvest concentrated and aromatic bunches. The
climate is of the temperate oceanic type, with a decreasing gradient from West to East
