Regional Information

Situated on top of a huge mass of tufa rock at 325 metres above sea level, with overhanging walls, the town of Orvieto became famous especially during the Etruscan era (8th -9th century B.C.)Because of its special affinity with wine. The magnificent countryside which sorround the rock has benn known, sicne the Middle ages as “tenuta Civitatis”

Vinification Details

The vines, are situated mostly in the lowest part of the Orvieto area, quite near to Paglia river.Are trained prevalently by the Guyot and Cordon system on average alluvial soil. Grapes are picked between the end of August and first September. Vinification in white with some cold maceration on some batches.The wine should be bottled in a few months after the vintage.
