Produced in the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany, Melini Chianti combines delicious flavours of ripe black cherries and succulent summer berries with soft, elegant tannins.

Pian del Masso owes its name to the many rocks that outcrop in the vineyards from which its grapes come. Its striking personality and pleasantness make this Chianti an original and captivating way to appreciate one of the most traditional Tuscan wines.

Melini was founded in 1705 by a wealthy merchant family from Florence. The cellar was rebuilt in the early 1970s bringing it to the forefront of modern winemaking. It is nestled into the side of a hill and constructed on four levels in order to achieve the progressive phases of vinification by gravity rather than pumping. Chianti is probably the best known Italian wine, exported since the 18th century and it remains one of Italy's most famed exports.

Fruity & Medium Bodied

The grapes are vinified on the skins for around 10 days at controlled
temperature and with frequent pumping over. Bottling takes place after a
suitable period of ageing in concrete and stailess steel tanks.
