Product Information

Delicious sparkling Martini Asti - the Bright One just got brighter! Don't get confused: same name, very different drink. This Martini is a gorgeous bundle of fizz and fun and a lot more grown-up than it looks.

More about this product;

Definitely not to be confused with the drink of 1970s legend, however fondly we remember it. This gorgeous Italian sparkler, made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes, is so light and lovely that you'll want to party whenever you can. The name comes from the Martinotti method of fermentation, which has been honed since 1895 to create this delightful sparkler with flavours of pear, green apple and peach.

Brand Marketing

Every bottle of MARTINI starts with the wines, carefully selected from only the best harvests. Its location in the tiny village of Pessione keeps MARTINI close to the winemakers of Piedmont, the botanical-rich foothills of the Alps, the vermouth trade of Turin and the port of Genoa. From time-honoured classics to limited editions, MARTINI offers a wide range of vermouths, bitters and sparkling wines to enjoy as an aperitivo or in a cocktail. Taste the legacy of craftsmanship and expertise in every bottle.

History

For over 150 years MARTINI has been passionate about crafting quality wine. Setting new standards, creating new styles of sparkling wines like rosé & demi-sec makes MARTINI one of the pioneers in the story of Italian wine production. Today MARTINI Spumanti embody a wine making heritage that is handed down from generation to generation.

Regional Information

The growing areas for Asti (Piedmont) are difficult areas in which to grow vines. High on the hillsides the vineyards are small, steep and labour intensive. But their unique climate is perfect for the aromatic freshness we need.
Machines can not easily operate here and harvesting is nearly always by hand.

Tasting Notes

Martini Asti Sparkling Wine has the sweetness of the specially grown Moscato Bianco grape from the steep, sun-drenched hills of the Asti region. The grapes are pressed and fermented quickly to retain their natural aromatic qualities. The resulting pressed juices, called ‘mosto', become the base that makes this wine retain an exquisitely fruity and fragrant character, with hints of green apple, peach and pear. On the tongue, rich, honeyed notes are balanced with the natural lighter grape must to create a taste explosion of fresh fruit and elderflower flavours

Vinification Details

In 1895, Federico Martinotti, invented a new method to create Spumante. By creating the secondary fermentation in a closed and sealed vat he found a way not only to make wines of consistently high quality, but also a way to do it more quickly in order to preserve the natural freshness of the grapes. The process is now: grapes to fermentation, secondary fermentation to bottle.
