Hearty chicken noodle soup
Makes 4 to 6 servings

Ingredients
1 package (250g) Manischewitz® Fine Egg Noodles, uncooked.
2 kg chicken cut into 8 pieces
3 celery ribs, cut into 1 1/2 cm chunks
6 whole allspice
6 whole peppercorns
2 small parsnips, peeled and chopped into chunks
1 small onion, peeled and quartered
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed dill
4 carrots, sliced 1 cm thick

Instructions
Cook noodles according to package directions. Place cleaned chicken parts in heavy large pot. Add all the other ingredients except carrots and noodles. Bring to boil. Skim fat off top. Reduce heat; simmer covered, until chicken is cooked through, about 30 minutes. Add carrots and simmer an additional 30 minutes. Remove chicken and carrots from pot, discarding skin and bones. Strain soup to remove allspice and peppercorns. Add chicken pieces, carrots and cooked noodles to soup. Salt and pepper to taste. To reduce fat, place soup in refrigerator overnight. Skim fat off prior to reheating.

Hob - From Ambient. Bring 2.84 liters (5 pints) water to a rapid boil. Add salt, if desired. Empty noodles into boiling water. Cook 4 to 6 minutes uncovered, until desired tenderness is reached. Stir frequently. Drain and serve!
