Maison Fortant has been a pioneer of fine wines from the south of France for over 100 years. This Corbières is a blend of 50% syrah from high altitude areas and 50% grenache from old vines.
Expertly assembled by Maison Fortant's head-Winemaker. Vibrant blackberry aromas with garrigue undertones. Rich flavours of dark fruits and cherry. Long silky-smooth finish.

This AOP Corbières wine comes from the Languedoc region of southern France, an area known for its sunny Mediterranean climate and diverse landscapes. The vineyards benefit from cooling winds and clay-limestone soils that encourage rich, concentrated flavours. These conditions create wines with generous fruit, Mediterranean character and excellent balance.

The grapes are mechanically harvested at night to preserve freshness and quality. Traditional fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at 26 to 28°C for 8 to 10 days. Full malolactic fermentation softens the wine, followed by ageing in concrete and stainless steel vats on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity.
