Cooking Guidelines
Cooking Instructions - General. Note: All cooking appliances vary, these are guidelines only. Cooking times will differ for a lower or higher wattage microwave oven.
Makes 3 portions.; Hob - From Ambient. Conventional cooking instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in boiling, salted water for 7-8 minutes.
2. Drain the pasta and return to the pan.
3. Add 50 g (2 oz) margarine or butter, 50 ml (3-4 tablespoons) semi-skimmed milk and the cheese sauce mix. Return to the heat and mix well.
Serve immediately.
A meal in 10 minutes; just add milk and butter.; Microwave - From Ambient. To prepare in a 750w microwave:
1. Put 850 ml (1.5 pints) boiling water in a large bowl. Stir in the pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook uncovered on full power for 6-8 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
2. Drain pasta well and return to the bowl. Stir in the 50 g (2 oz) margarine or butter and 50 ml (3-4 tablespoons) semi-skimmed milk.
3. Add the cheese sauce mix and stir well. Return the bowl to the microwave and cook for a further 1 minute, uncovered on full power.
Serve immediately.

Simple Bacon & Pea Macaroni
Prepare Cheesey Pasta as directed on the pack.
