History
Inzuzo means 'reward' or 'benefit' in Zulu . The company is majority-owned by local vineyard and cellar workers, and profits from our wines go directly towards projects that uplift the local community of Sir Lowry's Pass Village. One of these is an art project that aims to bring colour and energy to the village, to engage and rehabilitate young people through art. Our labels are inspired by the murals that light up the walls of Sir Lowry's Pass.

Regional Information
The bold and expressive grapes that go into the Inzuzo Chenin Blanc are from old bush vines in the Swartland region. The Swartland enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with warm, sun-drenched summers tempered by cool breezes from the Benguela Current off South Africa's west coast. This natural balance creates wines that are beautifully rich and concentrated in flavour, yet elegant and full of character.

Vinification Details
Grapes are hand-picked in the early hours while the temperature is still cool and brought straight to the cellar to be crushed and pressed. Thanks to the bright sunshine of the Swartland, the wine exhibits a ripe style with bold fruit character. To allow this to shine, the wine is not stored in oak, but kept on the lees for a couple of months to add richness to the texture.
