Product Information
This devilishly good Chilean Merlot is bursting with ripe red fruit flavours. An elegant but laid-back wine, it will turn into a little angel if you match it up with a roast or casserole at your dinner party.
More about this product;
There are a hell of a lot of flavours mingling in this delicious, easy-drinking Merlot - take a slurp and you'll taste blackberry, strawberries and raspberries mixed with a hint of tasty chocolate, vanilla and blackcurrant.
The people at Casillero, one of Chile's most famous wine houses, have been making fantastic wines for more than 120 years using grapes from the country's Rapel Valley. The grapes love growing in the ideal conditions there, with toasty, sunny days followed by cooler nights. It's how the grapes develop their rich, smooth, fruity flavours. No wonder this vintage won a Gold Medal at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards.
Casillero suggests drinking it in a large, tulip-shaped glass to give the wine room to air and release its gorgeous, juicy flavours. Serve it over dinner with a roast chicken or beef, a ham risotto or a huge bowl of spaghetti bolognese or save it for the cheese course, and the conversation is sure to flow.
