All you need is:
For the cake:
90ml or 90g or 1/3 cup & 1 Tbsp Water + 45ml or 40g (4 Tbsp) Oil + 1 Medium Egg
For the crumble:
2 teaspoons (10g) Butter Melted
Prep time: 10 mins
Baking time: 27-35 mins
Baking: One 20cm cake tin
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens)/ Gas Mark 4. Grease a 20cm round cake pan and preferably line base with baking parchment paper.
5 simple steps!
1. Prepare the crumble: Mix the melted butter with the cinnamon crumble mix until it forms a sandy texture. Set aside. Do not eat raw crumble.
2. Prepare the cake base: In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, oil, water and egg together for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy. Do not eat unbaked batter. Place the cake batter in the pan.
3. Add the apple: Snip the apple pouch, and drop the filling within the cake.
4. Mix the apple in: Using a knife, swirl the apple filling through the cake mix.
5. Add the crumble and bake: Put the cinnamon crumble on top. Use your hands if necessary. Bake in the oven for 27-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
