The consistency was a bit dry and heavy, rather suet pudding like, and the slicing was irregular in width and depth, messy to finish.
Not the malt loaf , I expected.
Very strong, at 8.4%, and very dry - almost astringent.
This may appeal to Prosecco drinkers, but it just isn’t my idea of cider. There’s barely a hint of an apple being involved in its production.
Towards the end of the recommended cooking time and temperature, yellowish filling came pouring out of the fishcakes. The consistency was fishy mush, the sauce within virtually tasteless. No flakes of fish in this lot!
