Morrisons The Best Thick Old English Sausages 400g
A meaty sausage
All these 1 star reviews seem to be from people who are used to very low pork sausages like Richmond. This is what a real meaty sausage is like. You are just used to children's sausages. These are delicious and authentic and full of flavour. I also didn't have any issues with the skin being thick, people must be cooking them wrong. They are better cooked in the oven or grill though, if you fry these all the fat is rendered out of them and the skin goes slimy. I also think they were better before they were gluten free. That's true of all of Morrisons sausages, it's a shame they switched to pea flour.

Mattessons Smoked Pork Sausage Original 160g
What have they done?!
These used to be so good. Now it is absolutely disgusting. It doesn't even look like the image on the packaging any more. It used to be slightly pink, now it is a whitish grey mush. It just disintegrates in your mouth - it has no texture and no flavour. It's revolting. It doesn't taste meaty and it doesn't taste like the smoked pork that it used to. It doesn't taste of anything any more, it's like a watery tasteless mush. I will never buy this again. They kept making it smaller, kept changing the recipe to use cheaper ingredients, but it's now at the point where it is not recognisable as the product it's supposed to be.

Heck 97% Sausage 400g
Awful
These are the worst sausages I've ever had. I don't understand why they are so expensive. They have a horrible texture and weird off taste. They also have nasty slimy skins because instead of natural casings they have lab-made artificial ones. I regret buying them, gonna have to throw them out because I don't want to eat the rest of them.

The Famous Grouse Smoky Black Blended Scotch Whisky 70cl
Very drinkable
I'm a big fan of smoky and peaty single malts. I don't actually think this blended whisky is particularly smoky, but it does have a nice finish, with a sweetness to it and hints of dried fruit. It lacks the complexity of single malts but is very drinkable. I much prefer it to regular Famous Grouse and for the price it is a bargain.
