empire
not as they used to taste used to melt in mouth and have a great crunch unfortunately another recipe change it's a shame
Recipe Change......Why?
I grew up eating these biscuits and know what they are meant to taste like... They are NOT the same anymore as it is becoming a common trend within the food industry to cut corners and change recipes in the search for increased profits. Sadly no more Tuc for me.
Not the same
These used to be a favourite - buttery and tasty, but for weeks now they've been dry and over-baked. Maybe they've changed the recipe? Sadly removed them from my Favourites list.
Always broken
Obviously biscuits are delicate so you accept that the top and bottom ones in a pack are often cracked and it’s ok so long as the rest are intact. Every time we buy these online though it’s ridiculous. Often they’re on offer so we order two and what turns up is basically two smushed ‘bags’ of bits. Really off putting. Becomes another thing to remember to check and send back with the driver along with yogurt pots, eggs etc. Better to pay more and get them off the shelf sometime rather than whatever they go through for the deliveries. Shame.
Surprised!
Since Morrisons stopped stocking their own version of these in my local which were amazing so I decided to treat myself to these. I was looking forward to them after not having them for a few years but was surprised to find that they were much thinner than they used to be and when I ate them they contained more salt, they were a little too salty which was disappointing. They're still yummy but I was left a little disappointed still...they will be a rare treat only.
Very good
I have purchased these from ahem 'elsewhere' sorry, they are on my list here now! They are quite nice. I must admit I do prefer the Bacon flavour ones but I do not see these listed online unfortunately, although I'm reasonably sure I have seen them "in store". Regarding this actual product variant I am reviewing, yes I do recommend them and their texture and balance is just about perfect all in all.
