poor quality

Best Spring Greens ever!
The bag of Spring Greens which I bought last weekend was grown by George Read in Lincolnshire is some of the best I have ever bought. There were three cabbages all very green with little or no wastage. Used some in a Vegetable Broth and the rest as a steamed vegetable. Fantastic both ways!
Good flavour
Really pleased with these spring greens, nice and fresh, good taste and had no waste.
Not up to standard
Usually this product is good however this time it was yellow & slimy inside, all leaves were limp & spotted, went in the compost heap!
lately quality varies or has black spots
We get this for our pet. Sadly we have to throw out a lot as it has alot of black spots on them which is not safe. In the past this was quite decent quality ans quantity was bang on. In the last few months it was off and/or very small quantities
delicious
Also got it as a substitute. I prefer spring greens over kale. When cooked right -time is the key- its deliciously sweet and crispy. I shallow fried it then mixed with green pesto - absolutely love it. You also stir fry adding some oyster sauce. Or making into a tomato based soup. Also lovely on its own: boiled soft, with a splash of olive oil and lemon juice. Quantity and cost-wise its also very economic. Whats not to love?
