Preparation and Usage
Gently squeeze the pouch to separate the rice. Cut or tear a small opening in the corner of the pouch - about 2cm should do it.
Place the pouch upright on a microwavable plate and heat for the amount of time recommended for your microwave.
Remove the pouch carefully from the microwave and fully open the top.
Pour the rice onto a plate and fluff with a fork.
Dig in!
It's a Wrap
Why not give burritos a go? Just cook the rice as normal, lay out a soft flour tortilla on top of some kitchen foil and pack it with chilli, salsa and sour cream then top with rice and salad. Roll it up and devour it straight away.
A Mexican Feast in Minutes
Pair your Mexican rice with Morrisons mild fajita cooking sauce. Just add chicken and tortillas for a satisfying meal without the fuss.

Cooking Guidelines
Cat D 750w 1 min 30 sec
Cat E 850w 1 min 30 sec
For best results, gently squeeze the pouch to separate the grains prior to cooking. Make a 2cm opening in the top of the pouch by tearing or cutting. Place upright on a microwavable plate. Heat on full power for 1 minute 30 seconds (Cat E/850W), 1 minute 30 seconds (Cat D/750W). Allow to stand for 30 seconds. Take pouch out of microwave and cut or tear open the top. Pour contents onto plate and gently fluff up with a fork.
Warning
When removing from microwave after cooking, do so with caution as hot steam may escape.

Bring back the beans please.
Just not the same since they removed the beans from the mix. Used to be a good light meal with the beans with the added protein, now it leaves you feeling empty since its mostly carbs.
overcooked and stodgy
The last couple of bags of this had been overcooked and just stodge. Didn't have much flavour either. Not nice
Change it back!
This is ok but the previous recipe was much tastier and had kidney beans in it too.Bring back the old recipe please!!
new recipe sucks
really disappointing new recipe, used to be such a filling and tasty side for people on a budget but theyve taken out all the beans and sweetcorn and seemingly every ounce of flavour. youre better than this morrisons
